Greenhouse

Visited our completed tomatoes farm extension in Co. Meath. This is a very impressive facility that utilised the gas heater CO2 emissions by pumping them back into the greenhouse where the plants convert the CO2 into oxygen. The facility provides a large portion of the tomatoes for the Irish consumer and can grow up to 150 tomatoes per plant in one year (depending on the tomatoes variety).

This is a largely automated system which has an integrated retractable solar shade to reduce the possibility of frost in the extreme cold
